Jeg hedder Tak Man Rai, er 35 år og fra lands-
byen Dandagaon i Everest regionen. Jeg har
været trekkingguide i 12 år, og har
Tak man rai

My name is Tak Man Rai, I´m 35 years old and my home village is Dandgaon in the lower part of Solu Khumbu. I´ve been a trekking guide for 12 years, and I have worked in the trekking business most of my life. I arrange treks in the area I come from, and you get the opportunity to get close to the local population and to discover the everyday life of the Rai people.

Mundhum trek
(around 12 days)

The Mundhum trek is a newly opened trek that takes the visitors through areas, where there is hardly any tourism.

The trek goes through Sherpa and Rai areas, and it is possible to make home stays, so you get the opportunity to get really close to the local population and their culture.

“Tak Man Rai is a fantastic guide with a unique skill-set and a sharp focus on safety who offer treks that you can´t get elsewhere. He´s a super nice person, who you can trust 100 %. I have been with Tak Man on 2 treks, and both was outstanding. Not least because Tak Man offers the opportunity to get close to the local population and culture.”

“Tak Man Rai is the best guide, I have ever worked with! We have collaborated on 8 treks over the years, and have primarily facilitated treks for Danish students and adults. I´m greatfull for my friendship with Tak Man, and I hope that we will experience many more treks together.”

Erik Bjerre, adventure guide, 23 treks in Nepal, Aarhus

“During springtime 2023 I went to Nepal for the first time with Tak Man as guide. It was a trip I will never forget. All the way throgh our trek it was easy to feel Tak Mans professionalism and great exprience. I felt safe during the entire trip even though we had bad weather conditions. The combination of beautiful views over the mountains and the meeting with Tak Mans village and the culture of Nepal was very unique!”
